Coin98 announced CUSD in September 2022: what the issuer claimed

Coin98 announced CUSD as a unit intended to facilitate transfers and interactions within its ecosystem. The description, design and claimed backing came from the issuer. A launch announcement does not prove that a stablecoin will maintain its peg, have sufficient liquidity, or remain redeemable under stress.

Users should verify the current contract address, supported networks, reserve and redemption terms, and whether the product remains active. Stablecoins can expose holders to issuer, smart-contract, custody, liquidity and regulatory risks.

UK crypto regulation: what changes in October 2027

The United Kingdom created a broader cryptoasset regulatory framework in 2026, but the main new authorisation regime is not yet fully in force. HM Treasury says the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Cryptoassets) Regulations 2026 will take effect in October 2027. That timing matters. A company saying it is “registered in the UK” today should not automatically be described as already authorised under the future regime. What the 2026 Regulations establish The Regulations bring specified cryptoasset activities into the UK's regulated-activities framework. What the SEC's 2026 crypto interpretation actually says

On 17 March 2026, the US Securities and Exchange Commission issued an interpretation explaining how federal securities laws apply to several types of crypto assets and transactions. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission joined the interpretation with guidance on how its staff would administer the Commodity Exchange Act consistently with it. The headline is important but easy to oversimplify: the SEC said most crypto assets are not themselves securities.
